My webmaster created a static home page on my blog. It seems the home page is pulling SEO info from some other post. Can someone help me to fix this so it displays the information I inserted in my SEO?
Thank you

@Glen: There is another case where this is happening but it’s not easy to find out why this happens since it seems to be rare. I’m working on it.
February 8th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
@Glen: No need to mention your website again, I got it. It’s also more than sufficient if it’s mentioned in the post form. Your problem might be fixed with 1.4.5.6, please try that one. If not please leave a comment on the main support post.

Sorry about that guess I hadn’t realized I had posted the url already. The new version fixed the problem on static home pages.
Thanks!

I’m having some problems with this plugin. Apearently it doesn’t not make any meta tags inside index.php
March 10th, 2008 at 8:29 am
@Mateo: Please be more specific. I didn’t find any post or index page without it. index.php is not sufficient because it’s not something you can access directly.

Hi,
Can I take care of the Dutch translation for the ‘All in One SEO’ plugin?
Cheers,
Henry
March 20th, 2008 at 8:31 am
@Henry: Sure, why not?
March 23rd, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Hmm.. I just started working on a Dutch translation already, and am almost finished… is there still a point in doing so?
March 24th, 2008 at 11:58 am
Hi,
I’am quite new to WordPress, today trying to get the plugin ‘All in One SEO Pack’ to work well - but so far without any luck.
I’m using the WordPress theme ‘Standard Norsk’ and the language Norwegian (nb_NO).
I haven’t found any norwegian translation for all-in-one (version 1.4.6.3) yet.
Now I wonder if the plugin must use the same language as the main wordPress to work properly??
Perhaps using another theme and language is the only solution, (or me working out a translation for the plugin?)……

1.4.6.4 has a Dutch translation now, thanks to Remkus. Also thanks for the Japanese update, and the Portuguese one!
March 24th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
@Eno: The language doesn’t matter at all for the functionality, it’s just the options display and the editing forms. If you have a problem please be more specific, and leave your WP blog in the URL field.

Updated German translation for v1.4.6.4:
http://steinbrecher-online.com/web/files/all_in_one_seo_pack-de.zip
March 24th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
@Steini: Thanks, just commited it to 1.4.6.4 so it should be included in a couple of minutes.
March 24th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
I just checked and found that the following strings are not translated (checked in v. 1.4.6.4). They are available for translation in the POT file but seems they do not work:
- A comma separated list of your most important keywords for your site that will be written as META keywords on your homepage. Don’t stuff everything in here.
- Note that this is all about the title tag. This is what you see in your browser’s window title bar. This is NOT visible on a page, only in the window title bar and of course in the source. If set, all page, post, category, search and archive page titles get rewritten. You can specify the format for most of them. For example: The default templates puts the title tag of posts like this: “Blog Archive >> Blog Name >> Post Title” (maybe I’ve overdone slightly). This is far from optimal. With the default post title format, Rewrite Title rewrites this to “Post Title | Blog Name”. If you have manually defined a title (in one of the text fields for All in One SEO Plugin input) this will become the title of your post in the format string.
- %date% - The original archive title given by wordpress, e.g. “2007? or “2007 August”
- Check this and your META descriptions will get autogenerated if there’s no excerpt.
Can anyone confirm this?

Traditional Chinese(zh_TW) translation updated to v1.4.6.4:
http://www.wmfield.idv.tw/download/8/
or
http://www.wmfield.idv.tw/486
March 27th, 2008 at 9:03 am
@Neil: Shouldn’t http://www.wmfield.idv.tw/download/8/ be the zipped translation? I get something that looks like a blog archive, though I can’t tell exactly because my Chinese skills are not the way they used to be (OK, I admit that I probably don’t know a word).
March 27th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Sorry, it’s my fault. ^ ^ Please download it here:
http://www.wmfield.idv.tw/wp-files/all-in-one-seo-pack-zh_TW.zip
March 29th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
@Neil: I released it with 1.4.6.5.
March 30th, 2008 at 1:47 pm
I found the reason why 4 of the strings are not translated. In all_in_one_seo_pack.php:
line 1192: “Don’t” has a strange apostrophe that is not the same as the one in the POT file and should be “Don\’t”
corrected line 1208: _e(’Note that this is all about the title tag. This is what you see in your browser\’s window title bar. This is NOT visible on a page, only in the window title bar and of course in the source. If set, all page, post, category, search and archive page titles get rewritten. You can specify the format for most of them. For example: The default templates puts the title tag of posts like this: “Blog Archive >> Blog Name >> Post Title” (maybe I\’ve overdone slightly). If you have manually defined a title (in one of the text fields for All in One SEO Plugin input) this will become the title of your post in the format string.’, ‘all_in_one_seo_pack’);
corrected line 1302: echo(”); _e(’%date% - The original archive title given by wordpress, e.g. “2007″ or “2007 August”‘, ‘all_in_one_seo_pack’); echo(”);
line 1488: “there’s” should become “there\’s”
I hope that the special characters above will remain intact in the comment.
March 30th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Unfortunately the special characters in the above post are corrupted so here a plain text file you can download uberdose: http://rapidshare.com/files/103531243/all_in_one_seo_corrections.txt.html

Bulgarian translation updated to v1.4.6.5: http://www.darganov.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/all_in_one_seo_pack-bg.zip
April 2nd, 2008 at 6:55 pm
@Iliyan: Yes indeed, there were strange chars in the code and I don’t even know how they got there
Will be fixed in 1.4.6.7, together with your translation update (which I assume is made for the new POT version, so it wouldn’t do any good to sneak it into 1.4.6.6)
April 3rd, 2008 at 10:58 am
Hi,
Simplified Chinese translation is now updated to 1.4.6.6.
Please follow the same old link to download it:
http://cuteleo.cn/wp-content/uploads/all-in-one-seo-pack.zip
BTW: Several strings can’t be translated whether I try updating the PO file from the pot file or from the sources. Yet another L10N bug?
Thanks for the plugin.

1.4.6.7 brings Bulgarian and Simplified Chinese updates, also the POT is fixed which caused several strings to not be translated (thanks Iliyan). I guess this is the same thing that caused Leo trouble. I also had to change some wordings and add a new string, so the POT file has changed. I changed all the option headings with the “additional x meta” stuff because people kept on confusing this with meta keywords.

Simplified Chinese translation updated again…
Same old link.
POT is still not perfect…

But updating from the sources works fine this time.

Thanks for this plugin. I just wanted to comment that for the newbie like me in Wordpress, I find it hard at first to locate the plugin management console because the Read me txt file said to look for “Options” page. I guess (*Options - All in One SEO*) is no longer around with Wordpress version 2.5 so maybe the distribution file need to be changed to (*Settings - All in One SEO*)? Makes it easy for future users. ;o)
Nonetheless, with that bit of a challenge, this plugin is incredible.
Thank you again!

@Manny: Thanks for the heads up, the README is fixed.
April 25th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
Hi,
I have only listed one of the many pages where these additional headers appear… is this a normal thing for the english version? wouldn’t it make more sense to add them as meta tags in the code? right now if i have all 3 header boxes on the setting page it shows on each page and is rather unsightly for any theme used. Is it meant to do that? example: http://bravuraartist.com/2008/04/09/up-close-personal-bipasha-basu/
