This gives you paged comments with Ajax. You can define how many comments get shown per page. With “Older” and “Newer” you can quickly skim through older comments without page reloads.
This is very useful for posts with huge numbers of comments. Only the latest comments get shown initially which makes the post load much faster.
You can see it in action here on my SEO plugin post.

Awesome plugin! What would be cool is one of those little loading gifs when you click on ‘older’ or ‘ newer’ because it just looks like nothing happens for a little while and people might leave thinking nothing is happening.

@Hon: Yes I too think this can be confusing but I have to find graphics I can use plus integrate it. Will do this but it will take some time.

How do you change the order of displayed comments?
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:16 am
@Wayne: You mean you want it ordered in chronological order? That is first comment first? This is currently not supported, but I can make it an option.

I’ve teasted and try, unfortunately it seems has a bug:
It can’t work under the “page comment”, many people hack the page for commenting,
Maybe this is cause by the WP Function “comments_popup” , it cann’t work under the page ID,
I don’t know it’s a bug or not,
it’s appreciate if you can fix it, please let me know, thanks~

@aman: I never intended this for pages because I’m not using comments on them. Will have a look at this but I won’t promise anything.
